Children’s Ministry
Sunday School:
Our Sunday School ministry is about partnering in the discipleship of children with their parents. The main focus is for your child to grow in wisdom. The Bible does not give us a lot of detail about Jesus’ childhood, but it does say this: “And Jesus grew in wisdom and stature and in favour with God and men (Luke 2:52).” Our Sunday morning routine consists of the children participating with the rest of the church members in corporate worship and observing communion and then we have a Bible lesson downstairs. We have been going through Bible stories chronologically using a curriculum called Answers Bible Curriculum (ABC). This curriculum is focused on helping your child grow in their trust and love for God’s word. Your children will first hear the Bible story taught in a large group setting, then your child will be dismissed to their age appropriate classrooms where they will participate in retelling the story, memorizing the months verse and learning to use their Bibles. One of the goals is for your child to be able to share what they learned in Sunday School with a friend during the week.
Grace Bible Church Playgroup:
On Friday mornings from 9:00-11:00 a group of moms from the community get together to discuss mom-life with a cup of coffee. During the week, moms can listen to a podcast from Mother Bear Apologetics. During the playgroup time, moms can discuss their thoughts from the podcast. This group was started so that moms could encourage other moms and give their kids a fun, safe place to play with other kids.To find out further information please contact Christine Beriault at (seagibbz@gmail.com) to be added to the Facebook chat.
Spring Break Vacation Bible School:
During the first week of Spring break a half day kids camp happens at the church. We have a limit of 100 kids at this camp from 4 years old to 12 years old. Kids will be assigned a team and travel around the church building doing games, a bible lesson, crafts and snack. Each year there is a new theme that also meets a large goal of helping your child grow in wisdom. This coming theme for VBS 2025 is the Pilgrims Progress. This is a story of a man named Christian taking the journey that all of us find ourselves in. I look forward to seeing you child at VBS this year!
